Marilyn Burch

Marilyn Burch is an award winning photographer who lives in Ft Myers, Florida. She started her photographic career in commercial ad work in Cincinnati in the late 70s. Changing her focus from strictly photography, she worked as a Creative Director at a midwest university and then moved to the NYC metro area.

Before retiring in 2014 Marilyn headed international sales for Singapore, UK and USA based global marketing agencies. This took her to over 30 countries. Photography was still never far from her thoughts and many of her photographs were taken when she found a “few stolen moments” during those business trips.

"No matter where I go or what I am doing I usually have a camera with me,” says Marilyn. “I tend to see the unusual in the usual. My mind seems to break things down to its simplest form. I instinctively focus on a single element as opposed to making a complicated image.”
